Hi, I’m Ben — a wildlife ecologist and Liber Ero Postdoctoral Fellow who spends a lot of time thinking about how animals live and move through the world, and what happens when the world around them changes. These days, most of my work revolves around barren-ground caribou and how we can help keep them thriving as development and climate change reshape the Arctic.
I collaborate closely with Indigenous communities, governments, and conservation organizations to co-develop monitoring tools, research, and conservation strategies that support wildlife and local stewardship. Whether I’m deploying camera traps on the tundra or building movement models on my laptop, I care about science that leads to real decisions on the land — and stories that help people understand why it matters.
